The population of India is around 1 billion. That's around 1000,000,000 and is constantly increasing with time.
There are around 14 languages printed on the rupee and many more dialects. Hindi and English are the widely spoken languages and the others are regionally strrong. The other most known languages are Punjabi, Bengali, Maharati, Tamil and Gujurati.
Indians are basically brown skinned and some of them are also dark or fair skinned as well. Each ethinic group and religion likes to consider itself as a group different from the rest.
The major religions in India include Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism and christianity.
The government system in India is basically democratic. It was ruled by the britishers until 1947. That’s when it gained Independence.
Visas and Overstays in IndiaThe best thing to do is to get a six month visa before you get to India and make plans well before you apply for the visa as the expiry begins from the moment you get visa. It is very difficult to extend the visa and in case you want to extent it then do so by leaaving to a country like Thailand, Sri Lanka or Pakisthan. The rules for applying or extending a visa keep changing with time so make sure you find out enough information even about the current situation.
Incase of overstay, it can get very complicated to get out. If by any chance you exceed the visa limit then you will have to get special permission from delhi to get a necessary permit to leave.
When to Travel in IndiaIndia has around 4 to 5 seasons in a year. Most travelers visit India during September time this is when the monsoons come to an end and the harvest season comes in. The temperatures reduce in the country around December. Sometimes in Delhi the temperature can also drop to around zero at night. The winter also makes the burning hot southern sun bearable.
The heat starts to increase by the March and April while all the travelers run to the Himalayas to avoid the prickly heat. The country altogether starts to burn up through May and June.
The monsoon breaks in June and July. There is usually a lot of celebration of rains around the places where they depend on rain for survival. Monsoon sometimes in India is continues pouring down for days at a time.
The monsoon is beautiful but be more careful with the dangers of health as the water may not be pure.
