Out of the numerous Tiger reserves in India, that preserve this beautiful beast, you can spot them most often and in Kanha National Park. The terrain within the park is varied but on the other hand enjoyable. Bamboo forests run into Sal forests and meadows. There are packs of spotted deer to be seen with smaller herds of the beautiful Antelope and the Black Buck. You could also spot the shy Barking Deer if you are fortunate. It's snapping cautions the other inhabitants of the forest that a predator is around. There is also a very strong likelihood of spotting the Rare Barasingha, the Swamp Deer. There were just 66 of these in Kanha, but vigilant preservation and management moved up their population to over 400.
Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, extending over an area of over 1,940-sq-kms.
